What you can expect from me during our time together 

I will act with professionalism, honesty, transparency and integrity at all times. 

It is my professional responsibility to ensure that you receive the most appropriate form of help, if for any reason I am unable to do so, I will refer you to alternative sources.

I am usually contactable by email - during my working hours 1pm to 8pm and will usually respond within 24 working hours. 

I will not make decisions for you, but I will offer suggestions if this is desired. 

I will be upfront about my fees. Please see fees in the booking section.

I am bound by my professional body’s 'Code of Ethics' and do not, knowingly work beyond my level of competence.

There will always be an initial consultation and this can sometimes require the whole of the first session but where possible I will endeavour to start treatment.

I am required to keep records strictly confidential, there may be times where you may have given me permission to speak to others, or if I am required to disclose information by law, or if I believe there is a risk to yourself or others. 

All records are disposed of after a 7 year period.

I am fully insured and your safety is my priority.

What I expect from you during our time together 

To be open and honest with me at all times. 

If you have any concerns about our work together, please let me know immediately. 

Attendance of appointments is essential. Please value and prioritise your appointments. 

Any cancellations made with more than 48 hours’ notice will be subject to a 50% charge. Please contact me by phone or email if you cannot attend your appointment. 

Even if you arrive late or have to leave early, appointments end at the agreed time and the full fee applies. 

Fees are required in full 3 days prior to the first session or whatever is stated in the booking section. 

To achieve positive outcomes, it will require considerable effort by you. 

All agreed sessions will be sent via email.  

You are free to leave a course of therapy, with notice as described above, at any time. 

The time for concluding a course of therapy is normally agreed between client and therapist. 

Most sessions will be done via zoom but there will be occasions where they are conducted face to face (in the event of a face to face session, please arrive 10 minutes early.

To attend all sessions free from drugs or alcohol.

Important information: Clinical Supervision is in accordance with the National Hypnotherapy Society’s recommendation, stating all hypnotherapists must have regular ongoing supervision. The clinical supervisor also follows a professional code of ethics. Privacy and confidentiality is paramount and in some cases there are ‘exceptions to confidentiality’ I reserve the right to contact outside agencies, usually the emergency services. If at any time I am required by law to disclose information, for example, legally I have to inform the authorities if you disclose an act of terrorism. In all cases, wherever possible, a break in confidentiality will be discussed with you prior to any referral. Payments can be made by Bank Transfer, PayPal, cash or cheque. I offer hypnosis services in accordance with The Code of Ethics and Standards prescribed by The National Hypnotherapy Society. It is your right to refuse any aspect of my service and to seek the service of another hypnotherapist at any time.  This complies with GDPR law.
